Serving as our Chief Executive Officer, Dan worked as a law enforcement officer/executive for 31 years. He retired from the Illinois State Police as an Investigations Commander having served there for over 26 years. He then served as the Deputy Chief of the Schaumburg (IL) Police Department for five (5) years. He has extensive experience (over 23 years) in criminal investigations, undercover narcotics/gang enforcement, homicide investigations, and officer-involved shooting investigations.
Dan recently developed the Northwest Cook County Major Crimes Task Force (MCAT) Officer-involved Death Investigations (OID) Team. Dan also recently completed the Northern Illinois Officer-involved Death Investigations Manual (copyright 2019), which is being utilized by hundreds of law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Illinois.
Dan is an active member of the Northern Illinois Critical Incident Stress Management Team, currently serving as a Law Enforcement Peer Supporter, and also holds the executive position of Training Coordinator for this 52-person team.
Dan is an active member of “We Never Walk Alone” Illinois Peer Support Team, serving as a peer supporter.
Dan has a B.S. degree in Marketing (from Northern Illinois University), a both a MBA degree and MCJ St. Ambrose University, Dan attended Session 204 of the FBI National Academy in 2001. Additionally, he has extensive peer support training, and holds several certifications in peer support., as well as a Certificate of Spiritual Direction from North Park Theological Seminary.

Serving as our Chief Operations Officer, Tammy is an ordained pastor with the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) and currently serves as a pastor-at-large--preaching, teaching, offering pastoral care, and presiding over worship, funerals, and weddings. She specialized in teaching/ leading Spiritual Wellness Practices.
Tammy is a trained Spiritual Director who provides Spiritual Coaching to the First Responder Community. She also serves as a chaplain for Plainfield PD/FD and the Metropolitan Alliance of Police (MAP).
Tammy has a B.A. Degree in English from North Central College and a Masters of Christian Formation from North Park Theological Seminary, where she also earned a graduate certificate in Spiritual Direction.

Tammy and Dan have been married for over 23 years and they have two teenage children. Together they have journeyed through to the upside of PTSD. They share the same passion to help First Responders and their families stay connected, and emotionally and spiritually strong in the face of adversity.
