Serving as our Chief Executive Officer, Dan worked as a law enforcement officer/executive for 31 years. He retired from the Illinois State Police as an Investigations Commander having served there for over 26 years. He then served as the Deputy Chief of the Schaumburg (IL) Police Department for five (5) years. He has extensive experience (over 23 years) in criminal investigations, undercover narcotics/gang enforcement, homicide investigations, and officer-involved shooting investigations.
Dan has a B.S. degree in Marketing (from Northern Illinois University), and both a MBA and a Master's of Criminal Justice degree from St. Ambrose University, Dan attended Session 204 of the FBI National Academy in 2001. Additionally, he has extensive peer support training, and holds several certifications in peer support., as well as a Certificate of Spiritual Direction from North Park Theological Seminary.
Dan and Tammy share the same passion to help First Responders, and their families stay connected, and to be emotionally, physically, and spiritually strong in the face of adversity.

Tammy is a trained Spiritual Director who provides Spiritual Coaching to the First Responder Community. She also serves as Chaplain for the Metropolitan Alliance of Police (MAP).
Tammy has a B.A. Degree in English from North Central College and a Masters of Christian Formation from North Park Theological Seminary, where she also earned a graduate certificate in Spiritual Direction. She has extensive peer support and critical incident training.
Tammy and Dan have been married for over 25 years and they have two adult children. Together they have journeyed through to the upside of PTSD.
J.J. was born in Chicago and grew up in the Northwest suburbs. After graduating from the University of Illinois in 1983 with a degree in Accounting he started his law enforcement career a Special Agent with the U.S. Treasury Department. After four years with Treasury he transferred to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and served

After four years with Treasury he transferred to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and served as a Special Agent, and later a Group Supervisor, for 25 years. After his retirement from the DEA in 2012 he served another seven years as an Illinois State Police Inspector and Rock Island County Deputy Sheriff in a local drug task force, the Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group, retiring again in February 2020.
Rene is a retired Illinois State Police officer. During his tenure, he was the Director of two MEG Units (Quad City Meg & Peoria MEG) and an instructor on Illegal drug trends and Officer Involved Critical Incidents. He is married to Suzi, and they have three grown children and 5 grandchildren.
